CCS Parent - Experience - Dedication

Passionate about our Students, Staff, Families, & Community

It was an honor to be sworn in last night, December 5th 2016 by Judge Christy Wilhelm for my second term on the Cabarrus County Board of Education.

I look forward to working with my fellow board members as we continue to work for the students, families, staff, citizens, and stakeholders of this great County.

We did it!  We received over 34,000 votes which was more than enough to be reelected to the Cabarrus County School Board.

Thank you for all your support, prayers, encouragement, and of course votes. I look forward to serving our stakeholders and community for another four years.…/article_64d10214-a62f-1…

Election Day 2016 is only weeks away. Vote Rob Walter on November 8th!

Your vote is really important and I'm asking for your support and for your vote on November 8th to continue to make a positive difference on the Cabarrus County Board of Education.

Its been a privilege serving our community providing a voice for our citizens and families. We have made a difference as shown by a substantial list of accomplishments in a short period of time.  Please watch our past meetings, speak to school staff, and community members and judge for yourself as how I have been doing as well as the board as a whole.

I’m a parent of two CCS students. Like you, I want the best schools for our children and community.  I believe in parental involvement, engaging students, community partnerships, supporting great teachers and staff as keys to make that happen.

This election cycle you have a choice of eight candidates for four open seats. Experience and track record are important factors to consider when making your decision. I hope to you will choose to allow me to continue to move forward with the many things that have been started these past four years as well as some new ideas that will make a positive difference for our students, staff, and community.

Early Voting has started in Cabarrus County

Voters can now cast their votes in Cabarrus County. Beginning at one location on October 20th at the Board of Elections offices in Concord, and then from October 27th, three additional locations will open up.  Check the schedule carefully as there has been confusion regarding what time voting starts and what days each location is open.  One piece of advice to avoid lines in going in the middle of the day or using location in Kannapolis as that will have the shortest line. Traditionally, the Harrisburg library location has the longest wait times.

Also many of these locations will have volunteers for both parties, for individual candidates or the local candidate themselves at the poll greeting voters in line for those that may need additional information or are unsure of who to vote for.
